DAY 1: Depart for Cairo, EGYPT
Depart the USA or Canada by overnight flight.
DAY 2: Cairo, EGYPT
Upon arrival in Cairo, settle into a Nile-view room at the Four
Seasons Nile Plaza. Explore the Pyramids and Sphinx of Gaza. The
last survivors of the Seven Ancient Wonders of the World, the
Pyramids date back some 5,000 years. Nearby is the mysterious
Sphinx, carved from a single block of stone. Step inside one of the
Royal Burial Chambers in the Pyramids and view the well-preserved

DAYS 3 - 4: Aswan / Edfu / Esna, EGYPT
Fly from Cairo to Aswan and board the MS Sonesta St. George I or II.
During your time in Aswan, you will visit the Temple of Philae — a
sacred temple complex dedicated to the Goddess Isis and displaying a
fusion of the Egyptian, Greek and Roman civilizations — the Aswan
High Dam, and Granite Quarries including the unfinished obelisk.
Enjoy a felucca ride on the Nile. From Aswan, sail to Kom Ombo to
visit the Temple of Sobek, followed by Edfu, home of the beautifully
preserved sandstone Temple of Horus, one of the finest examples of
Ptolemaic art in Egypt. Overnight at Esna. M/S Sonesta St. George I or II
DAY 5: Luxor, EGYPT
Visit the famed Temples of Luxor and Karnak. Enjoy excursions to the
Valley of the Kings, famous for its royal tombs and a designated
UNESCO World Heritage Site. The most famous tomb belongs to the
boy-king Tutankhamen. The tombs were cut into limestone rock in a
remote dried-up river valley and the walls were painted with
magnificent murals depicting the afterlife and land of the gods.
Also visit the Valley of the Queens; the Temple of Madinat Habu,
where the entire Temple of Ramses II still stands in good condition;
and the Colossi of Memnon. M/S Sonesta St. George I or II
DAYS 6 - 7: Cairo, EGYPT
Fly from Luxor to Cairo, arriving mid-day. You will stay at the Four
Seasons Hotel at The First Residence, a gracious sanctuary on the
west bank of the Nile with impressive views of the Great Pyramids.
Visit the famed Egyptian Museum including the Tutankhamen collection
with a special visit to the Mummies Room. Take an excursion to the
Citadel and the Ottoman-style Mohammed Ali Mosque (the Alabaster
Mosque) built in AD 1183. Then explore the famous Khan El Khalili
