Nestling at the end of a tiny, picturesque lane in the heart of the Medina of Marrakech, and hidden away from prying eyes, behind a heavy wooden door more than a century old, lies an oasis of peace and contemplation.

'Zelliges', sculpted wood, 'tadelakt' and 'beijmat' from Fes are used for flooring, made by local craftsmen in keeping with ancient traditions, and creating an architectural gem which respects both tradition and modernity.

Around an imposing patio painted in tones varying from dusty rose to orange, with its beautiful green zelliges fountain where rose petals float, lies the house and all its activities.

The 4 bedrooms, each with its own bathroom made from tadelakt, span three floors, thus respecting the hosts' own privacy. The decor is refined, hamonizing both antique and modern furniture.

Enjoy the delicate taste of a cup of tea in the bouhou outside sitting room; a candlelit dinner in the dining room with its endless benches; reading in the tiny library, lounging upon a sabra pouffe woven in wonderful iridescent colours; a moment to dream in front of the fireplace when nights are cool; and finally contemplating the sunset over the terrace. The Koutoubia mosque seems to be within arms reach, and in the distance one can see the peaks of the Atlas mountain.
