Four airlines now allow you to get your boarding pass at Paddington Station’s Heathrow Express.
…for now, only Delta Air Lines, Finnair, Iberia and United Airlines.

However, we recommend doing this online, if you can, before leaving your London hotel or home.

Heathrow Express has introduced airport check-in (not of luggage check-in!) facilities and flight information screens at Paddington Station.

Heathrow Express managing director, Richard Robinson, said, “People do not always get the opportunity to print their boarding pass before getting to the airport. By introducing this service at Paddington, customers have the opportunity to print their boarding pass and avoid the hassle of queuing for check-in at the airport.”

He added, “Customers can then proceed direct to their airline’s designated bag-drop if they have hold luggage. There are three Common User Self Service (CUSS) check-in kiosks located next to the Heathrow Express ticket office at Paddington, which will initially be available only to passengers travelling with Delta Air Lines, Finnair, Iberia and United Airlines.

Meanwhile the flight information screens, showing all of the day’s flights, the airlines operating them and the terminals from which they depart, are situated near the Heathrow Express ticket office and half way down platforms six and seven, which are dedicated solely to Heathrow Express services.”

Enjoy Chocolate by Chantal Coady at recently opened Rococo Chocolates at 4 Moncomb Street (Belgravia/Knightsbridge). Her exquisite hand-crafted chocolate is famous for its silken texture and delicious, innovative flavors. There are 3 locations in London.

In addition to tasting, I suggest watching the masters at work from the Salon and taking in the Moroccan-inspired garden designed by Coady.

Better yet, take a Cooking Classes – An opportunity to hone your skills in the art of making and cooking with chocolate.

I’d love to do the “Bespoke Tastings” – They can organize a chocolate tasting to suit your preferences for you and up to 7 lucky friends you invite.

www.rococochocolates.com

From their web site:
Should I Keep My Chocolate in the Fridge?
That depends on what the outside temperature and humidity are. A cool dry place is always preferable to a fridge. If room temperature is more than 25°C, it is probably advisable to put them in the fridge. Always wrap chocolate in plastic and seal carefully before refrigerating. Allow chocolate to return to room temperature before unwrapping and eating.

On 17 Jan 2009, USAir launched an unadvertised summer sale to London, Paris, Frankfurt, and other European cities: Fares are in the $500s and $600s, including all taxes, for peak summertime travel.

So how do you find these fares?

You can search via www.Airfarewatchdog.com on their International Airfares page or “do a flexible date search” on www.Orbitz.com , which uses ITASoftware. However, some of these fares will only become visible after clicking on a much higher fare, upon which the lower fares will be revealed. This is a shortcoming of ITASoftware, and thus is a shortcoming of any other Web site that uses ITASoftware, such as FareCompare, Orbitz, etc.

Then, please call on www.DavidTravel.com to design your travels…hotels, transfers, the best guides, and insider access. We also have special deals for business and first class air.
