Visited in April….the first time for an overnight stay.

Overall, a wonderful hotel and stay. The property has a relaxed, unpretentious, welcoming energy….with an unbeatable view in Laguna Beach, California….about 12 miles south of where I live.

The staff is so helpful and friendly.  However, they never seem to get the service 100%…my guest’s name was not in the reservation as requested so he could not check in until they found me and the bed was not made up as I had requested (but corrected promptly after 2 tries)….everything else was just right….yoga matt in room, kettle to boil water and tea service in the room, gluten free menu and goodies waiting, champagne, perfect room (love all the draws, nice bath tub with candles beside, balcony and view), love the toiletries, and attentive service.

Dinner at The Loft was perfect. Congrats to the chef, Brian Black. We had 2 amazing entrees:
1. DAY DRY-AGED COFFEE-CRUSTED NEW YORK STRIP Fourme d’Ambert Cheese and Wild Arugula, Bourbon-Caramel.
– It works….orgasmic and rich.

2. FIRE-ROASTED ORGANIC CHICKEN Macaroni & Cheese and White Asparagus, Wild Mushroom Sauce.
– Wonderful….and chef made a special gluten free pasta for me…loved it.

Brian also made a truly exception gluten free type of flat bread that is not backed but dehydrated, all natural and made with all raw ingredients that are never baked. I loved it…what a treat.

Don’t forget to leave room for the artisan cheeses and broad selection of artisan honeys and ….at the interactive cheese gallery, ask them to pair the honey with the cheese.
