Google Wave: Google’s “in development” Alternative to traditional “static” email
Google Wave: new, not yet released, very cool alternative to traditional “static” email.

Check it out.
This can be an amazing tool. Overall, it looks great.
On the otherhand, as long “trees” of communication develop on an initial topic or conversation, WHO has the time to read it all???
It seems we are being overwhelmed by messages to read.
Also, members of a conversation who are online will see text real time as it is typed (without even the delay of IM)…leaving participants without time to reflect on what they are writing. As it is, email usually goes out without the review and reflection correspondence had when I got a draft from my secretary and reviewed it before I signed it and it went out.
It will be an awesome tool to have meetings with one or more clients at once or with colleagues.
What do you think?

We ARE being “overwhelmed by messages to read” and it’s becoming extremely time-consuming and counterproductive unless you work for Google, or any high-tech company. I happen to like and respect Google…they’re innovative, and usually the best of the lot. But those “trees” of communication are horrendous…no way in hell would I take even more time to read all this bullsh*t. “Static e-mail”? Anybody remember the days when we all had ONE telephone (if any) and life went on, with far less stress?? I’ve gone as far as I intend to go with technology. A computer in my home, period. No cell phones, no caller-ID, call waiting, call-this-that-and-every-other-thing they can think of so they can charge more $$$. I feel like we’re spinning out of control, and wonder if this is what the Unabomber’s Manifesto was all about…?
